Hamish is our trusty hydrovane, and third crew member (crew that knows how to steer anyway!).
Other than being a really good way to foul a fishing line, the hydrovane replaces the autopilot and “self steers” the boat when we are sailing, using only the wind. As long as the wind is from a constant direction, then we will maintain the same heading.
